This year’s memorial tournament will take place on Sunday, December 29th. The event will honour Anna’s memory through what she called her happy place: Pickleball. Registration to play is currently full. But if you wish to be considered for our waiting list please email annadevriesmt@gmail.com.

 

Event organizers are grateful to the Community YMCA for allowing us to use their gym for this event. We are asking supporters to consider making a donation to the Community YMCA in Anna’s memory. All proceeds will benefit the Community YMCA’s After School Program, ensuring that children and youth in the HRM have access to a safe, welcoming, and fun environment. The program offers a variety of activities, including art, sports, e-sports tournaments, and the Y-EATS program, providing a nurturing space for young minds to thrive. Donations can be made here:

Anna’s vibrant personality, determination, and good humour was experienced by many a pickleball player even throughout her difficult battle with cancer. But it is clear that Anna was well loved by many others as we have seen incredible support for her friends from a range of activities. We are grateful to everyone for helping us honour her memory.
